Overview

Bulk Image Downloader from URLs ("the Extension") lets users download multiple images from a list of URLs they provide, directly to their own device.

Data Collection

The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data, browsing history, or user content to any external server. All processing (parsing URLs, fetching images, zipping files) happens locally in your browser.

Permissions and Why They're Needed

• downloads — required to save images to your computer.
• storage — used only to remember your local settings (e.g., download folder name, zip filename) on your own device via chrome.storage.sync.
• activeTab — allows the Extension to interact with the currently open tab when you use it.
• webRequest — used to detect and process image URLs/requests so they can be downloaded.
• host_permissions (<all_urls>) — needed because users may paste image URLs from any website; this permission lets the Extension fetch images from whichever domains the user specifies. It is not used to monitor, log, or transmit browsing activity.
• sidePanel — used to display the Extension's interface in Chrome's side panel.

Third-Party Sharing

No data is shared with third parties. No analytics or tracking scripts are included.

Data Storage

Any settings saved (via chrome.storage.sync) are stored in your own Google/Chrome account's synced storage and are not accessible to the developer.
