Privacy Policy — Open Multiple URLs

Open Multiple URLs is a Chrome extension that lets you paste a list of URLs and open them all in new browser tabs. This page explains what data the extension handles.

Data collection

Open Multiple URLs does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing history, or usage information. The extension does not include analytics, tracking, or any remote server.

Local storage

The extension uses Chrome's chrome.storage.local API to save, on your own device only:

• The list of URLs you last typed or pasted (if "Preserve input" is enabled)
• Your selected options (dedupe, random order, reverse order, lazy load, search-non-URLs, tab group choice)

This information never leaves your browser. It is not sent to the developer, to Anthropic, or to any third party.

Permissions used

• storage — to save your preferences locally, as described above.
• tabs — to open a new tab for each URL you provide, and to discard background tabs when "Do not load tabs until selected" is enabled.
• tabGroups — to place newly opened tabs into a Chrome tab group when you choose that option.

The extension does not request access to the content of the websites you visit and does not run any script on the pages you open.

Third parties

When the "Handle Non-URLs as search queries" option is enabled, lines that aren't recognized as URLs are opened as a Google search (https://www.google.com/search?q=...) in a new tab. This is a normal page navigation performed by your browser, the same as typing a search into the address bar — the extension itself does not send this data anywhere.

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
